Last night my boys decided it would be a great idea to video tape one of their famous Brysonzilla montages. It basically entails a lot of screaming, running, and terrible camera work. I love the imagination of these kids, I just wish they could channel their creativity in a quieter way. Don't be fooled by their sweet faces. After watching this it's no wonder I seek the sweet sanity of a girl. ( I know, I know, I won't be singing the same tune when she's getting her first piercing at 16 and sneaking out of the house) A mom can dream can't she??

Hi, Nacia, what a marvellous idea! Ah yes, it all comes back to me now! I used to think I was a narcoleptic because every time I sat down I fell asleep. Only years later did true understanding dawn, while I watched a young couple race after their own toddler.I was exhausted just watching while I sipped my frosty beer....

One thought that crossed my mind was how we assign gender characteristics and expectations to our children before they even come out of the womb! I'm guilty if this too. I wanted someone to give the fancy Barbie collection to. But what if our little princess wants to play "Brysonzilla" or the next boy wants the Barbie collection? How will we all feel about that?
