Today, you can feel the collective outrage across this nation as a two-year-old girl will never live to see kindergarten, while her alleged killer walks off into a child-free sunset. It doesn't quite seem fair that her child was missing for a month yet Casey Anthony was off gallivanting at bars, pretending she didn't have a care in the world. Now three years later she makes a repeat performance as she exits the jailhouse doors to freedom.
But is she really free?
Speaking only as a mother who would rather die then have any harm come to my children, it is hard for me to believe that there isn't a tortured woman inside a hot pink polo covered shell. If she did have anything to do with the death of her daughter Caylee, as so many people vehemently believe, how could she live with those thoughts, projecting a normal life? If I were her I would want kill myself if I knew I was the cause of my child's untimely death.
But to come to that conclusion you would have to assume that Casey Anthony is a sane woman. Only someone truly in touch with reality, who understands consequences, and has a sense of empathy would be considered sane. A mother who goes out to clubs to party with friends instead of canvassing god's green earth in search of her missing 21/2 year old child, is NOT someone I would consider in their right mind.
If there is some ingrained psychological issue flowing through Casey Anthony then perhaps her sweet little girl is better off where ever she is. From what I have seen Casey Anthony did not deserve nor want to be a mother. If she really is an unrepentant sociopath then she will probably go into hiding and retain some sort of a normal life. What scares me most about that is that one day she might find some idiot man who feels for her plight and wants to build a life with her, including more children. If men on death row can get married while locked up this scenario doesn't seem too far-fetched.
My hope is that she is 100% lucid. I pray that Casey Anthony and the family members who tried to protect her will have to live with their part in the murder and cover-up of an innocent child forever. If she isn't mentally ill each day the gravity of what she has done will weigh on their mind, body, and soul. Casey will never be truly free until her last dying breath. I hope she lives a VERY long life.
What is your reaction to Casey Anthony being released from prison?
